Alloy Wheel Care Instructions
Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential to preserve the appearance and finish of your alloy wheels.
Failure to properly maintain your wheels may void the finish warranty.
General Cleaning
Road grime, brake dust, salt and moisture can gradually damage the finish if left on the wheels for extended periods.
For best results:
- Clean your wheels regularly.
- Use only mild dish soap and clean water.
- Dry wheels thoroughly using a soft microfiber cloth.
- Never use abrasive cleaners or harsh household chemicals.
- Avoid steel wool, scouring pads or abrasive brushes.
Automatic Car Washes
Use caution when using automatic car washes.
High-pressure steam cleaners and aggressive cleaning chemicals used by some facilities can permanently stain, damage or corrode wheel finishes.
Hand washing is always recommended.
Cleaning Hot Wheels
Never clean wheels immediately after driving.
Allow the wheels to cool completely before washing.
Do not spray cold water onto extremely hot wheels, as rapid temperature changes may damage the finish.
Care for Different Wheel Finishes
The following finishes should all be cleaned in the same manner:
Clear-Coated Wheels
- Wash using mild dish soap and water.
- Dry with a soft microfiber cloth.
Painted & Clear-Coated Wheels
- Wash using mild dish soap and water.
- Dry with a soft microfiber cloth.
Machined & Clear-Coated Wheels
- Wash using mild dish soap and water.
- Dry with a soft microfiber cloth.
Safety Warning
Important: If your wheel experiences a significant impact—such as hitting a pothole, kerb, or being involved in a vehicle accident—it should be inspected immediately by a qualified wheel and tyre specialist.
Do not continue using a damaged wheel.
If cracks, bends, or any structural damage are found, the wheel should be replaced immediately to ensure the safe operation of your vehicle.
